Alexander's Newborns

I took Vicel maternity portraits and was very pleased to have recieved a call after the baby arrived three weeks early!  What struck me about this little guy was his perfect dark skin.  I love this little guys black and white phtotos the most because his skin has such perfect tone to contrast with both white and black backdrops.  Little Alexander was so cute after we bundled him he had to pull the blankets up over his face and have a little shut eye time.  I just thought it was so cute how he was bundled so tight and just peeking up over the blanket! lol  Adorable.  And you will also see another of my favourite shots is his little feet picture.  I admitt it was Vicel's suggestion that I take a photo with their rings on his toes so I have to give thanks to her for making me try that. Since it turned out so darn cute I'll have to try that again in the future.
Congratulations Vicel you are going to be a wonderful mother.

More McFadden's !!

Mike and Amanda were so pleased with their newborn and 6 month portraits that they bought a gift certificate for family members Shannon and Lance.  Family pictures with little ones are always tough, trust me after working for sears and walmart photography for many years I learned that 9 times out of 10 a family session is going to be a bit stressful and challanging.  But I've also learned that if you are patient you can get great photos dispite the bit of a fight.  When Lance and Shannon were a bit discouraged when leaving their session.  They said to me "Michelle if you only have like 3 or 4  good pictures thats fine we totally understand"  I assured them not to worry and that there were going to be plenty of great shots. There was lots of excellent portaits as always.  After they received their DVD of portraits, Lance told me that they couldn't believe how many great shots there were and that they loved them all!  This is my lesson to everyone.  When taking portraits just take your time and the right shot will come.  If you could jump inside my head you'd here "wait for it.. wait for it.. waiting.. ahh there it is <snap> Got it"   Lance and Shannon it was so nice to meet you and your boys are very handsome.

Vicel is Lovely

Vicel contacted me well in advance for her maternity session.  I knew that she was a women who felt truly blessed to be having a child.  And proud that her family was growing.  Vicel is very beautiful, when I was photographing her she was relaxed and put her trust in me.  Which is great, it makes it so much easier to photograph people who are confident that they have chosen the right person for the job.  She asked for my advice and opinion which I thought was great because I knew that she must have admired many of the portaits I had taken.  I know that many of the photos of her look stunning. Her curves are gorgeous and the photos I know she'll love, are gorgeous too!  Congratulations you three!

Lindsay's Maternity Session

Lindsay says she is not sure if its a boy or a girl.  most couples now find out what the gender of the baby is going to be.  I asked if they knew what the baby was going to be and they said no.  So then I assumed they chose not to find out.  After looking back at it I'm thinking I should have said "Did you try to find out what you are having?"  rather than "Do you know what it is?"    I went on and on about how my husband and I didn't find out what our first one was going to be. And Marlin, my husband always says it was the best moments of his life when he heard it was a boy! lol  So for Lindsay's portraits I did some photos in a girl theme and some in a boy theme so that they would have a variety of both to stick in the baby book after baby is born.  I promise you two, you are both going to love the surprise. What a great feeling it is when you here those words from the doctor! "It's a ..."

Brooke Isabelle

Candace and Chris recently had maternity session done.  I was so delighted when they were back with their new baby girl Brooke Isabelle.  I got the pleasure of photographing her at only a week old! Oh my was she precious and 'oh so teeny"  awwww!  lol

I told Chris and Candace that the newer the baby is, the better the session will go. So being only a week old little Brooke did wonderfully! It was a lot of fun and we got tons of excellent shots of the little lady.

Thanks Candace for bringing her in even when I know you were probably pretty tired!

 

Brady and Evan

Brady visited me on his 2nd birthday for some portraits and he brought his baby brother Evan, who is about 5 months old.  Cute little guys, you sure can tell they are brothers :)
